BEATLOADSHED.CO.ZA was born out of Power Solutions, a group created on facebook some time back. When noticing the amount of people joining the group, I realized that there is a far greater need for information regarding ways to help yourself when there is no municipal electricity available during load shedding, than I anticipated. Also, the fear of losing all the information gathered, brought me to the decision to create beatloadshed, as I have then full control over the information posted without any 3rd part involved. Beatloadshed was created for all people who want to educate themselves about solar power, wind turbines, hydro power and lots of other ways to educate themselves to live off-grid. Everybody is also free to add their own solutions for other people to learn from. These days, we are too much dependent on external sources for our electricity needs, while there are hundreds of ways to support ourselves when it comes to electricity.
